About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Internal Tools Engineer to join our team and assist in building internal applications using the Retool low-code platform. In this role, you will create user-friendly interfaces and integrate them with our internally built RESTful Data Management Platforms (DMPs) and various other data sources. Your work will directly contribute to enhancing internal productivity and efficiency, supporting our mission to provide precise, actionable intelligence to professionals in VC, PE, and M&A.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain internal applications using Retool’s low-code platform.
Design intuitive and effective user interfaces tailored to the needs of internal stakeholders.
Integrate Retool applications with internal DMPs, external REST APIs, and databases.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and ensure solutions align with business objectives.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues in existing applications to maintain optimal performance.
Stay informed about Retool’s latest features and best practices to maximize platform capabilities.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Minimum 2 years of experience in software development or a similar technical role.
Hands-on experience with LowCode tools, preferably Retool,
Experience in building business application user interfaces
Experience in integrating with APIs and databases.
Proficiency in working with REST APIs and database interactions (SQL experience preferred).
Solid understanding of user interface design and basic UX principles to create usable, efficient tools.
Excellent problem-solving skills and a keen attention to detail.
Strong English language communication skills (written and verbal) to collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with data management platforms (DMPs) or data integration tools.
Familiarity with JavaScript or Python other programming languages to extend Retool functionality when needed.
Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
